A climate-positive future is something that RAK Ceramics is dedicated to constructing. Through the implementation of a decarbonization strategy that will ultimately be guided by science-based targets, we are contributing to the solutions to the climate. We are taking steps within our operations to conserve energy, utilise alternative energy sources, and lower emissions as part of our comprehensive plan to attain that future. We also plan to implement strong climate governance.

1. ENERGY EFFICIENCY

Energy Efficiency lies at the core of our sustainability efforts here at RAK Ceramics. We have implemented resource-saving technologies and practices across our operations, spanning multiple product lines, including tiles, sanitaryware, faucets, and tableware.

2. WATER SUSTAINABILITY

To manage water resources efficiently, the company has implemented various initiatives:

Effluent Treatment Plants (ETP): Three ETPs treat wastewater from manufacturing processes, meeting regulatory standards and reducing environmental impact.

3. WASTE AND CIRCULARITY

At Our Company, we view waste as a valuable resource and have established comprehensive Waste Management Guidelines to promote resource efficiency and circularity. We’re proud to have achieved the noteworthy milestone of reusing all non-hazardous waste by reintegrating it into our production processes.

4. SUSTAINABLE LOGISTICS

At RAK Ceramics, we are committed to adopting sustainable and responsible consumption and production patterns throughout our value chain. In 2022, our dedicated efforts yielded significant reductions in road movements, resulting in substantial savings in diesel consumption and carbon emissions.

5. AIR POLLUTION

We are dedicated to maintaining excellent air quality standards and minimizing dust emissions within our premises. We have implemented a comprehensive air emissions monitoring program to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

6. EMISSION REDUCTION

As a manufacturing company, we recognize our role in reducing emissions to combat climate change. Hence, our efforts are geared towards improving our environmental stewardship throughout our value chain, sourcing our raw materials sustainably, and operating our manufacturing processes as efficiently as possible.

PROGRESS AND REPORTING

We are committed to transparency in our ESG efforts. We regularly assess our ESG performance, set measurable goals, and report on our progress in an annual ESG report. This report highlights our achievements, challenges, and future objectives.
