RAK Ceramics and Samena Capital holds Iftar for 5000 workers
Ras Al Khaimah, UAE, 19th June 2017
RAK Ceramics PJSC, one of the largest ceramics’ brands in the world, today announced that in partnership with Samena Capital, it hosted an Iftar celebration on Thursday 18th June for approximately 5,000 of its factory workers. The celebration is the largest Iftar held by any company in the history of Ras Al Khaimah.
Mr Abdallah Massaad, Group CEO, RAK Ceramics said: “At RAK Ceramics, as part of our continued Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) strategy we are committed to building a sustainable society, creating a diverse and inclusive work environment; and enhancing the economic development of the communities where we operate. We were delighted to be able to organise this Iftar celebration for some of our factory workers and be given an opportunity to thank them for their continued hard work, dedication and loyalty to the company.”
The employees were served their food at the Iftar by RAK Ceramics and Samena Capital senior management as a gesture of appreciation and respect for the work they do. Iftar is one of the religious observances of Ramadan and is often done as a community, with people gathering to break their fast together.
